The landing in Europe, through the Great Britain, of this particular and much loved breed, takes place between the Fifties and the Sixties, from that moment on it depopulated without borders that could stem its success.
Black Burmese cat
Before describing the standard of the Burmese cat it should be noted that there are several, passing from the United States to Great Britain and the rest of Europe. We can therefore take into account that the American version has a rounder and more robust build, large and slightly protruding eyes while the British is more "British" therefore more slender and with more regular features. Finally the European Burmese Cat resembles the British but more relaxed in being and acting.
Beyond the geographical nuances, we can speak of a cat with an average size whose females weigh about 3.5 - 4 kg, males a little more. The body remains well proportioned, muscular and strong, with a deep chest and slender limbs ending in oval legs.
The head of the Burmese cat it appears slightly elongated but with prominent cheekbones that accompany large and widely spaced eyes, sometimes even protruding without disturbing. Burmese sable cat
The mantle of the Burmese cat has different colors, it is thought of as black, as we have seen before, but in truth it can also be brown, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, cream, cinnamon and tortie. And then there is the Burmese Sable Cat, the most common, of a very intense color, warm and dark brown. The "silver" nuance is the latest variety with a particular taste.
Beyond the tint, the coat of the Burmese cat it has very evident distribution characteristics that distinguish it from other breeds: the base color is one but varies in intensity from area to area. The lower part of the body, for example, tends to be lighter than the back and legs. The extremities in turn can show contrast but only slightly because the the final result must give the idea of uniform.
Only puppies can break these rules of the coat standard: only they are allowed to wear unintended stains, the white hair or streaks but only up to six months of life. With the growth, before the year, the Burmese cat it becomes darker than when it was born and within two years it appears as it will remain permanently.
Burmese cat: character
The hair has enchanted us but it is not the only wonder that the Burmese cat reserve: his nature is enviable. It is a sweet and adorable animal, capable of becoming very fond of its owner so much that it follows him throughout the house, reiterating that he loves him very much and that he wants endless pampering. Affectionate, active and playful even when adult and sterilized, the Burmese cat is very intelligent and he is not ashamed of it, as he does not even have problems asking for attention constantly. It is a breed for people who want a cat - dog, in fact they are animals that suffer if left alone for a long time and who are very happy in the company of other cats and dogs.
A character like that if not at all good for lonely and anaffective people, is perfect for children, with whom the Burmese cat is able to be without creating problems. The same is true in the case of small rooms: it adapts and plays close to us anyway.
Burmese cat: breeding
Being a rather widespread cat it should be quite easy to find those who breed it, in Italy or at least in Europe. Once found, it is an animal that does not require too much care, also due to the fact that it has no undercoat to comb and keep it soft. For the coat already shiny on its own, just a few strokes with a soft brush or a glove slightly moistened with water and vinegar.
To be kept monitored, without anxiety, even the ears, also cleaning them with specific products while you trim your nails.
