Dehydrated skin remedies: Here are some tips for buying glowing, velvety skin with no side effects.
Our skin is the part of our body that is seen by everyone; we like to take care of it but we don't always get good results especially when we have dry skin problems. A poorly cared for, dry, wrinkled, stained, poorly cared for skin is certainly not the best business card. Who doesn't like having beautiful, glowing and hydrated skin?
The skin is the largest part of our body; the functions it covers are numerous and essential: protection from UV rays, internal temperature regulation.
Taking care of your skin is not a simple beauty gesture, it is, above all, health care. On this page we will give you some useful tips to keep the skin of the body radiant and well hydrated.
Drink enough water
Drinking the right amount of water is the first rule to follow to prevent skin dehydration. Unfortunately, many believe that applying some expensive moisturizer is enough to keep the skin in top shape. It should be noted that creams or other skin products moisturize the dermis only superficially.
Taking at least two liters of water a day is really the best solution to combat dry skin. Try drinking more water - you will soon have a change in skin tone.
Another aspect that should not be underestimated: creams, as good as they are, hydrate only the first layer of the skin. Water, as we have said, hydrates all the layers that make it up from the inside. For a synergistic effect, you can combine the two methods: drink the right amount of water and apply a preferably natural moisturizer.
No to frequent showers
There are those who think that to fight dehydrated skin it is enough to shower often using moisturizing soaps. It is just a publicity stunt created by companies that produce cosmetics and soaps to entice people to buy. Showering makes it worse if you already have dry skin. This is because while we wash ourselves, we apply a large amount of chemicals to the skin. These products certainly remove the residues that accumulate on the skin during the day, but also the layer that protects it.
This natural coating is also altered by very hot showers. In this case, the skin will become even drier. To avoid that a ritual as pleasant as the shower can further dry the skin, remember some recommendations:
- Do not take more than one shower a day, unless you play sports on a professional level
- Avoid staying too long under water
- Make sure the water is lukewarm
- Insist with soap, preferably natural, only on the feet or under the armpits
- Use mild soaps on the private parts
- Dry yourself very gently: the skin should be dabbed, not rubbed
- At the end of each shower, apply a moisturizing oil to nourish the skin: we recommend coconut oil.
Which coconut oil to buy?
To benefit from all the beneficial properties, it is good to choose the best quality coconut oil; it is always better to choose the so-called "extra virgin" or "pressed" oil, since it is a purer product than those that are refined through chemical processes.

Shaving the right way
Shaving with a razor is not good for the skin at all. While removing unwanted hair, you also remove natural oils from the dermis. Better to shave immediately after a shower. At this stage the hair is softer and shaving is easier.
It is important to use the shaving gel or cream. Move the razor towards the hair to avoid traumatizing the skin. Make sure the razor has a good edge to avoid additional irritation. When finished, apply a natural moisturizer for dry skin.
Protect your skin
Sun rays are one of the main causes of skin dehydration. It is possible to prevent damage from UV rays by applying a cream with a broad spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30) all year round.
Anyone who thinks that protection is not necessary in cold seasons is wrong. Sudden changes in temperature can equally alter the skin considerably. To limit you can lower the sun filter from SPF 30 to SPF 15.
When it starts to get very hot, it is best to dress in layers to avoid overheating and excessive sweating. In addition, to treat dry and chapped lips during the winter, use a specific balm with sunscreen 15.
Wear light t-shirts in the summer and when in the sun, wear a long-sleeved blouse with a wide-brimmed hair to prevent the sun from damaging the skin on your face, neck and ears, as well as your eyes.
